The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) announced a large-scale drug bust that occurred late last week as part of an ongoing investigation.
According to an April 18 media release from OBN, the drug bust occurred on April 14.
Officials said that they seized 7000 pounds of marijuana from a semi truck and shut down “a black market marijuana warehouse distribution center in Oklahoma City,” as part of the investigation.
“Our investigating has identified multiple farms transporting marijuana to this Oklahoma City warehouse where it is repackaged into “camera equipment” boxes and shipped to New York and New Jersey, orchestrated by individuals tied to Oklahoma consulting groups,” said Mark Woodward, OBN spokesperson.
“Over the past two years, we have shut down more than 800 farms and arrested over 200 individuals as part of our agency’s commitment to target and dismantle criminal organizations that have obtained a commercial marijuana license by fraud, moved their product to the out-of-state black market, or both,” noted OBN Director Donnie Anderson.
OBN shared several photos of the truck and distribution center involved in the drug bust.
